East West Mapping receives queries concerning aspects of mapmaking, cartography, placenames and publishing. This book addresses many of the topics raised. Starting with a brief biography, with a description of how we approach making maps, a history of Irish topographic maps, how our customers use mapping and some of the challenges and limits on our work.

The core material is based on extracts from the many & varied social media posts written over the last decade and more, covering matters of local heritage and culture.
